The Thomson Ecology Site Check provides you with an initial assessment of whether there are likely to be any major ecological issues on your site that could significantly affect the proposed development.
The Thomson Ecology Site Check is a cost effective ecology environment scoping survey. It is carried out by an experienced ecological consultant and is worth having if you are considering buying or developing a plot of land.
The investigation can help your decision making and project planning by:
• identifying if you have, or are likely to have, protected species or habitats on your site
• providing you with guidance on wildlife legislation and how to meet local planning authority and Natural England requirements
• providing you with recommended actions and timings in relation to ecology and your development plans
• estimating the likely costs of dealing with ecology on your site
• highlighting ways in which you could enhance ecology, and therefore ease planning approval, alongside your development.
