River, lake and marine biodiversity surveys
Thomson Ecology has a wide range of experience of surveying rivers, lakes, coast and marine habitats. We pride ourselves on our scientific integrity and, with our large team of highly qualified and trained Ecological Consultants, we can guarantee you first class project delivery.
We have surveyed rivers across England and Wales for The Environment Agency using the River Habitat Survey (RHS) method and are currently commissioned by Natural England to undertake SSSI condition monitoring of saline lagoons and many other habitats.
We have RHS accreditation from The Environment Agency and also GeoRHS accreditation, alongside extensive experience of river corridor surveys.
Effective resourcing is essential to complete ecological surveys efficiently in what are often difficult terrains. As well as investing in our staff, we invest in the right equipment to do the job well- from sophisticated survey equipment to boats, nets, sample grabs and an identification laboratory.
We have the capacity and project management skills to deliver.
