Thomson Ecology delivers environmental training to Network Rail
13th July 2011
We have been commissioned to deliver a programme of ecology training to Network Rail’s environment, health and safety, and project managers.
The training covers wildlife legislation and planning policy, ecology in project planning, dealing with protected and invasive species, tips on how to reduce ecological costs and biodiversity enhancements.
So far we have presented to over 150 Network Rail managers and contractors.
Feedback from the initial training has been very positive:
‘The content of the course is very good. Doing the case study exercises has helped me to understand the process.’ Network Rail Project Manager
‘Good length. The timing of surveys and mitigation information was very useful.’ Network Rail Senior Project Manager.
