Thomson Ecology blossoms and grows
5th January 2010
Thomson Ecology continues to expand in 2010. We have just recruited twelve new graduate ecologists to join us in our Guildford and Yorkshire offices and are opening a further office in Wales. We have also recently appointed a Team Leader for the ecological assessments required under BREEAM (an environmental standard required for new buildings) and have brought in another arboriculturalist to deal with any issues relating to trees on development sites. Nancy Thomson, MD, says 'We always pride ourselves on the quality of our work. As our reputation for practical and creative ecology solutions grows, so does our client base. We are really pleased to be working for both government bodies and private sector clients who value not only our technical expertise but also our ability to deliver projects on time and to budget. The natural environment is increasingly under threat. A complex body of legislation is in place to try to protect wildlife. By involving ecologists in the early stages of their project, developers are able to find better ecological solutions that cost less and that can generally pass through planning much more swiftly.’
