Does Thomson Ecology have experience in large scale ecological surveys on behalf of public sector clients?
Thomson Ecology has undertaken large scale ecology surveys for a variety of clients. For example:
• We are currently undertaking surveys of farms within the Welsh Agri-Environment Schemes on behalf of the Welsh Assembly Government which involves surveys of 700 sites a year for at least three years.
• We have also undertaken River Habitat Surveys at 660 sites throughout England and Wales for the Environment Agency.
• We are helping Natural England undertake condition assessment monitoring on Sites of Special Scientific Interest in northern England
• We have surveyed XX ha land for UK Biodiversity Action Plan Priority Habitats for Forest Enterprise Scotland
In undertaking large scale projects we appreciate the need for effective project management, consistency in approach and rigorous data collection. All our surveyors receive project specific training to ensure a first class final outcome.
